AI-Powered Learning
At Kepler College, we are not just adapting to the age of Artificial Intelligence; we are actively shaping it. Our AI-powered learning strategy is a comprehensive, institution-wide commitment to reinventing the higher education experience. Guided by a dynamic and actionable AI policy, we have seamlessly integrated AI across all academic and administrative functions, built upon three foundational pillars.
To stay ahead in an AI-driven era, everyone at Kepler College is gaining essential AI skills. Our mandatory Foundational AI Course equips students and staff to apply AI in learning, research, and daily work, creating a community fluent in responsible AI use and positioning Kepler College as a regional leader in higher education innovation.
Moving beyond generic tools, Kepler College has pioneered the development of its own AI agent, named IGA, in Kinyarwanda, which means "to learn." This agentic AI is engineered to contextualize and personalize the educational journey. The IGA serves as an intelligent tutor for students, providing 24/7 academic support while also automating routine tasks such as grading, class attendance, and scholarly engagement. This strategic automation allows our faculty to dedicate more time to what they do best: guiding, mentoring, and inspiring students through meaningful human interaction.
Our vision extends beyond our campus. Through our flagship initiative, ELATE Africa (Emerging Learning through AI and Transformative Education), we are collaborating with institutions across the continent to transform education. By harnessing the power of EdTech and AI, ELATE Africa provides a platform to share proven models, best practices, and successful pilot programs. ELATE Africa is the College's approach to accelerating the scalable and ethical adoption of AI, ensuring Africa is at the forefront of the global educational evolution.
