Governance Council

Prof Baylie Damtie is responsible for Kepler Rwanda and region-wide academic affairs of Kepler. He has initiated and led the development of Kepler’s Graduate Employment Program (GEP) in Rwanda and Ethiopia. He has been leading the program and institutional accreditation of Kepler college in Rwanda. He is also leading the regional project on employability system change of the Ashesi University. Before joining Kepler Prof Baylie Damtie was the President of Bahir Dar University for seven years (2011-2018). His educational background includes PhD in Space Physics from the University of Oulu (Finland), MSc in Space Physics from Tromso University (Norway) and BSc in Physics from Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia).
