Research and Community Service
At Kepler College, Research and community services are designed to address key challenges faced by communities in Rwanda and surrounding regions. Staff and students are encouraged and supported not only to conduct impactful research for publication in peer-reviewed journals but also to lead its implementation in addressing community problems.
Community services provided by staff and students at Kepler College aim to empower communities in the region by helping them address their challenges through support in gaining relevant knowledge, skills, technology, and connections.
Research projects at the College are designed to tackle pressing societal challenges. To advance research activities and outputs, the College follows two key approaches.
The first approach emphasizes creating a supportive environment that empowers staff and students to conduct impactful research, whether through College-funded initiatives or grants from external partners. Priority is given to staff and students pursuing graduate studies, as well as those engaged in research-focused capstone projects.
The second approach aims to establish top research groups in the College’s key competency areas. These research groups include Education, Business Analytics, and Project Management Research Group; each group is organized to deliver applicable research outcomes in their respective fields.
